  1. The webserver team tournament run by the Welsh Correspondence Chess Federation (WCCF) will be known as the "British Webserver Team Tournament" (BWSTT).
  2. A tournament director will be appointed by WCCF.
  3. The tournament will be contested by teams of four players in divisions of seven teams so that each player will play six games – one against the opposing board of each other team in the division. The tournament director will have the power to vary the number of teams per division (and hence the number of games per player) dependent upon the number of entries. At least one member of each team must have been born in, or be currently resident in, the United Kingdom, a British crown dependency, or a British overseas territory.
  4. The top two teams in each division will be promoted. The bottom two teams in each division will be relegated. Ties shall be broken in accordance with ICCF Playing rules for teams. For each new season, any new teams will begin in the lowest division, however the organiser has the discretion to start new teams in a higher division subject to a spare place(s) being available. The winning team of Division One will be "British Webserver Team Champions". Each team member of the winning team will be awarded a medal or a trophy.
  5. A team captain must be appointed to every team, the team captain can be a playing or non-playing team member. A team can retain its divisional place for the following season providing at least two members of that team played in the previous season. If more than two players are changed, that team will be regarded as a new team.
  6. All games will be played on the ICCF webserver and will be subject to all relevent ICCF playing rules current at the start of the tournament.
  7. In the event of the withdrawal or death of a team member, players may be substituted/replaced in accordance with applicable ICCF rules. No player may play for more than one team in any one tournament season.
  8. The time control will be the standard ICCF Triple Block time control of 50 days bank and 5 days increment per move, with three days per move guaranteed after move 50. The playing time of each season will be approximately two years, adjudications will only take place where there is an accepted withdrawal and no substitute can be identified. The two year seasonal schedule can be varied at the organiser's discretion.
  9. Any matters concerning the organisation and running of the tournament not covered in these rules or the ICCF playing rules will be decided at the discretion of the tournament director.
  10. All appeals and disciplinary matters will be handled by the relevant ICCF appeals or disciplinary instance.
  11. WCCF reserves the right to decline an entry or entries; where an entry is rejected, a full explanation will be forthcoming.
